“Your body is not ruined. You are a tiger who earned her stripes!”
Before pregnancy, I had a high metabolism and was at the same weight for years, eating whatever I wanted. At 29, I was ready for babies; I loved being pregnant and the process of creating life is the most beautiful experience! At the end of my second pregnancy, I tipped the scale just under 200lbs, but never worried about how I would lose the weight.
I loved being a mom of two, but I had very low self confidence and was wearing baggy clothes to continue to hide the weight, although it was very noticeable in my face and arms. I didn’t like looking at pictures of myself, let alone look in the mirror. It wasn’t that I was vain, it was more the feeling of uncomfortableness in my newly overly stretched skin!

FYI- family history plays a mark in stretch marks, as well as skin elasticity, rate and amount of weight gain, nutrition, and hydration! I earned me some Tiger Stripes!!
In January 2012, I turned to coach Robyn Ewalt and Team Beachbody for help, as I did not want to spend more time away from the kids, but needed to do something for myself AT HOME. Started with a Insanity, then added Shakeology and Focus T25 last July (2013) and started to really focus on my nutrition, although I am nowhere close to perfect!
I had such a great time working out in the comfort of my own home and making friends/gaining a support system, that I became a coach one year ago so I could share these amazing programs with everyone! I have now completed PiYo, and dabbled in P90x3 and TurboFire. The 21 Day Fix has a great portion control/container system and the workouts are amazing! Currently on the playlist is Body Beast!
My point to this long post is that yes, I may be tall and slender, but we have to remember that every BODY is different, but we may very well face the same struggles with health and wellness!
Will my stomach ever get flat with 6 pack abs? I don’t know. Does it matter? Nope, and I am not that hung up on it that I need a tummy tuck, either! I am keeping myself fit and healthy thanks to Shakeology and these 25-60 minute programs, and I will continue to enjoy my challenge groups and working hard to achieve my goal!
